My name is Frank Fini. I was born in Italy on May 7, 1939, and came to the United States on November 6, 1954. I became a barber stylist specializing in hair replacements. I have been an American citizen for over 60 years. I love the U.S.A.! I am the father of 4, grandfather of 6, and great-grandfather of 3.
For the last few years, I have had this idea burning in my heart: “How to fix America.”
I feel that the American-born young person today does not feel special enough to be proud to be an American. To ignite this positive feeling within them, there needs to be a way of rewarding good citizens. For that, I have a plan that could turn the U.S.A. around and abolish:
- Poverty
- Gangs
- Killings
- Welfare
- Drug Abuse
- Parents Killing Children
- Children Killing Parents
...and drastically improve education, family values, and countless other ills that the whole world suffers from. That’s the goal of my US-based Starting Even Foundation.
I kept asking myself: How can a country that has such possibilities for the future raise so many young people that throw their lives away on crime, drugs, suicide, disinterested in learning in schools, with total disregard for their lives and others?
While all of these ideas were going through my head, Congress & the Senate started to discuss investing part of Social Security money to improve the chances that when we retire the money will be there.
Something clicked in my head… “That’s a good idea, but it is being applied at the wrong end of life.”
What if… we took that same thought and applied it at the beginning of life! And let's see who shows up to collect! Just think of it as a National Individual Revocable Investment Fund with Behavioral Strings Attached.
I might not be the most educated, most traveled, or literary man in the world, but I have spent my life listening to other people’s problems and concerns—not only their hair problems, but family, health, money, marital, children, jobs, schools, relationships, politics, courts, lawyers, judges, natural or unnatural disasters.
Rich or poor, they all seem to have one thing in common when faced with a personal or national crisis: they turn to God for help. As noble and majestic as that might sound, I feel most of our problems are man-made and the overeducated, the scholars, and the policy makers have become too blind to see common sense solutions to human problems.
I feel the time has come for all of us to join together and…
